Dr Amer Mahmood is a Board Adviser at Taranis Capital and a Senior Scientist and Principal Investigator at the Stem Cell Unit, College of Medicine, King Saud University in Riyadh. He directs comprehensive regenerative medicine and gene therapy research programmes, developing novel treatments for chronic diseases and injuries.

Dr Mahmood maintains a strong international collaboration network and a significant research funding track record. His pioneering work in stem cell research and regenerative medicine spans multiple decades, with past positions including doctoral research in Molecular Endocrinology and Metabolism in Denmark, post-doctoral work at clinical immunology centres, and consultancy roles in stem cell and gene therapy for organisations in the United States and Saudi Arabia.
