Dr Abdullah Alawad is a Scientific Advisory Board member for Taranis Capital's BioTech Growth Fund. He holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences and Biotechnology from the University of Sheffield, an MSc in Developmental Cell Biology from the University of Sussex, and a BSc in Biology from King Saud University.

With over 20 years of experience, he has spearheaded transformative projects enhancing healthcare delivery, developing next-generation researchers, and driving impactful solutions for critical health challenges. He founded the National Centre for Stem Cell Technology at KACST and served on the Saudi Human Genome Program founding team.

Dr Alawad is a biotech consultant to the Ministry of Defence Health Services, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Investment, and the Science and Technology Park at KACST. He holds certifications from Imperial College Business School and Valeric Business School.
