Milan commenced his involvement in the global data centre industry in 1999, when he joined UBS Warburg’s London-based technology team with a focus on internet infrastructure. During the subsequent 17 years at UBS, Bridgwell and Jefferies, Milan was involved in many of the key IPOs and M&A events in the data centre industry and built strong relationships with the management teams and major investors in the sector. In fact, it was Milan’s role in the Interxion IPO in Q1 2011 that led to his eventual hiring by the latter’s CEO.
From 2017, Milan worked at Interxion Digital Realty, where he reported to Interxion’s CEO, David Ruberg. For the Middle East and African businesses, Milan was essentially the primary interface between iColo and Medallion and the HQ management team. This included involvement in and oversight of all business cases, funding requests, expansion initiatives, site selection, financial reporting, customer contracts (including the subsea cable landings for 2Africa), the relationship with Pembani Remgro and various other operational activities.
At EDGNEX (a subsidiary of the expansive DAMAC Group headquartered in Dubai), Milan was Senior Vice President of Data Centres, responsible for a range of markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa. During this period, Milan built a pipeline of data centre deployment agreements and engagements across 8 markets working with Governments, sovereign funds, cloud and content platforms and major institutional investors.
Since October 2023, Milan has been CEO of ConnectedCompute, a digital infrastructure advisory and project execution firm headquartered in Dubai, UAE. The firm is currently involved in major data centre projects across three continents, including hyperscale facilities in Europe, govt data centres in West Africa and PE backed data centres in the Middle East.
